Power of thought

Do you struggle with stress?

Did you know our greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another?!

Note: The majority of our thoughts throughout the day don't influence our behavior or cause harm. Our repeated thoughts, the ones we think about repeatedly, can begin to shape our reality and affect our actions, behavior, and attitude. If we have quality positive thoughts, we create the quality in our life that is positive.

Now you're probably thinking "wow that's great, how motivational... but how can I use that"

I've got you. As someone with a generalized anxiety disorder thoughts can cause me some serious stress. Here's some ways I choose powerful thoughts over anxious ones:

  1. Change Your Self Talk – When you tell yourself that you’re not good enough, your thoughts will create your reality, and you’ll be held back from the life you want by your mindset. Start by changing your negative self-talk to “I am good enough” or ” I can do this,” it may sound weird, but it helps.

  2. Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone – Challenge yourself to do new things which will cause you to rise to the occasion and change your mindset.

  3. Change How You Speak – Just like changing your inner self-talk, change how you speak to others. Instead of saying negative things to others or complaining, talk about positive experiences in your life. As you continue to do this, your mindset will change to an encouraging one and drown out fear and want.

  4. Remind yourself that WHO YOU ARE and what you've accomplished does not disappear just because anxious thoughts or stress appears!

  5. Set micro goals when you're feeling stressed to the point of a break down. Avoidance will only make things worse, so set a micro goal to get started!

You got this! If you have any questions please reach out! Blessings!
